We have reached an exciting milestone: Official LearningChess Certificates are now available for home users and students in schools and chess club! This is not just a digital document but a testament to the hard work, strategic thinking, and dedication you’ve shown at the chessboard.
How Can You Earn It?
The challenge is set: to receive your certificate, you must achieve a total score of 90% or higher in a specific course.
The score is calculated based on your performance across all 36 lessons within the course. Once you reach the 90% threshold, the course selection bar turns gold.
Home users can click the down arrow at the end of the gold line, then select the certificate icon or download text.
Students can receive their certificate from their coaches. Schools or chess clubs can also choose to have their own logo printed on the certificate. Please find more details about that below.

Social Sharing: Home users can instantly share the certificate image on Facebook, Twitter, or WhatsApp by selecting the appropriate icon.
The certificate can also be shared on any platform via the QR Code (link) in the bottom-right corner. We recommend this mainly for students who receive it from their coach.
Professional PDF: Download your certificate as a high-quality PDF, perfect for high-resolution printing and framing.
Global Recognition: Certificates are available in every language supported by LearningChess, so your achievement speaks your language.
Authenticity and Security
To ensure your certificate has real value, we implemented several security features:
QR Code: Each certificate includes a unique QR Code. Anyone, such as a potential coach or employer, can use it to verify the certificate’s authenticity. This QR Code (link) has multiple functions and is the same one mentioned above in the Social Sharing section.
Personalized for You: The certificate is issued using the First and Last Name provided in your My Account settings.
Pro Tip: Preview the final version before printing. To make a correction, update your name in your profile settings.
Anti-Forgery Measures: To prevent misuse, each account is tied to one name. The only way to print a certificate under a different name is to wipe all data (MY ACCOUNT -> RESET ALL PROGRESS), which requires completing all lessons again from scratch.
More Than Just a Piece of Paper
LearningChess courses are recognized educational materials by the FIDE (International Chess Federation) Chess in Education Commission, giving your certificate significant weight. Whether applying for a chess coaching position or joining a competitive club, this document serves as official proof of your theoretical expertise.
Schools and chess club
A new CERTIFICATE menu item is now available in the Learning Management System. Selecting this option displays students and their courses in which they achieved the required 90% for certification.
The coach can choose certificates for the children and download them with one click. Students may receive both printed and PDF versions. Additional details are available in the Learning Management Guide.
The certificate includes the LearningChess logo by default, but coaches can add the school or chess club logo if they prefer.
